Mission and Vision

Salix Apicis Student Association is dedicated to building a cross-school platform for Chinese students studying at American middle and high schools. Through online communities, offline events, student storytelling, and project support, Salix Apicis creates an inclusive environment where members can connect with peers, explore their interests, and develop student-led initiatives.

We believe that studying abroad is not only about adapting to a new school, but also about self-discovery, peer support, and active creation. Salix Apicis supports members as they move from building security and belonging, to gaining understanding and encouragement from peers, and ultimately toward what Maslow described as self-actualization. Through real experiences and independent projects, members are encouraged to discover their interests, develop their abilities, and become more complete versions of themselves.

Salix Apicis also seeks to present a more authentic and diverse image of Chinese students overseas. Through articles, interviews, school reviews, event documentation, and member stories, we record real student experiences and provide specific, reliable references for students and families considering studying in the United States or abroad.

Since its founding in 2021, Salix Apicis has reached more than 3,000 members, primarily from American middle schools, high schools, and private school communities, and has organized over 100 online and offline sharing sessions, social events, and student-led initiatives. Our vision is to become one of the most connected and creative cross-school communities for Chinese students at American middle and high schools, helping peers with shared experiences, broad perspectives, and diverse interests grow together through mutual support and real projects.
