The Alias Theater Company was founded by a group of student theater enthusiasts in Guangzhou. Its name, “Alias,” symbolizes the individuality and indefinable qualities of its members.

During the pandemic, the company held weekly gatherings and organized multiple workshops with local theater practitioners. Through its production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the group ultimately raised over RMB 3,000 for Fanhua Charity’s Mountain Education Support Fund.

​

At a time marked by uncertainty and isolation, the American high school student founders of Alias chose to step beyond their homes and contribute to society in their own distinctive way through theater.
